Customization of wooden pallets requires several stages. By specializing the assembly line operation, the production of customized wooden pallets can be programmed to be more scientific, save manpower, financial resources, and materials, and ensure quality and delivery cycle. Let's take a look at the steps and structure of customizing wooden pallets.
Wood pallet customization briefly introduces a few steps.
1. Use wooden pallets to customize the material selection
The raw materials for customized wooden pallets are generally composed of pine, fir or several composite woods. Pine is the best. The raw materials of wood also vary from place to place. For example, southern wood, due to the high climate humidity and high wood moisture, is not only poor in weight of wooden pallets, but also poor in anti-corrosion; on the other hand, the northern climate is dry, the humidity is low, the wood is dry and easy to fission.
2. Customized drying with wooden pallets
After selecting the raw materials for wooden pallets, the wood must be dried to effectively dehydrate and eliminate its internal stress, so that the wood will not produce diseases and insect pests due to moisture during the processing and manufacturing process, and will not crack due to drying, affecting the quality of the wooden pallet. Quality affects exports.
3. Customized cutting and grinding of wooden pallets
After drying, it is mainly wood processing. Use a cutter to cut and a planer to trim the edges to ensure the wood is smooth. After selecting the appropriate wood, it is waxed and finished to achieve the ultimate quality for use.
4. Production and finishing
After the wood is planed, it is deep processing of the wood, which requires the use of sanding machines and other processes to process it into shaped color boards. You can use nails with anti-separation function to nail the profile board to the semi-finished product pallet, or you can use the following anti-separation pads, etc.
Such processing is very complicated, but this is a prerequisite to ensure its use effect. Only good production can make the wooden pallet deform more accurately and extend its service life.
Pallets typically require loading surfaces, forklift holes, and trough wings. The boards on the upper and lower sides of the pallet are called decking boards, and the boards on both sides are called side boards. The fork holes of the pallet are formed by stringers or partitions. Beams are long flat materials that run perpendicular to the decking. The backing plate is a square plate, and the plate perpendicular to the backing plate is called a longitudinal beam plate. In order to facilitate the insertion of the fork, the fork deck is specially processed with a bevel, and this bevel is called an inverted floor. In order to be able to lift cargo, the lifting holes extending outward at both ends of the mattress are called wings. When lifting goods with ropes, since the wings of the side panels are easily damaged, reinforcement plates of the same length as the longitudinal beams are often installed under the wings.
Dimensions refer to its length, width, and height. The height of the pallet is equal to the height of the fork holes and the thickness of the upper and lower floors. The height of the fork is related to the thickness of the forklift fork. If we consider a 1~3T forklift, the thickness of the fork is about 30~60mm. Since the fork needs to be inserted with enough margin, the height of the fork hole is usually specified as 100mm. The wood used when making wooden pallets has a smooth texture and no obvious defects such as bending, warping, twisting, cracking, moth-eatenness, or moth-eatenness, and there must be no wood knots on the end plates.
